Saying I have difficult hair is an understatement....fine, wavy (okay frizzy), and highlighting usually ended up a not-so-lovely shade of red/orange. I came to ncolor salon unhappy with my hair color, reluctantly having taken about seven inches off my hair, and still having condition issues. What I immediately noticed about Gary is that he identified all of my hair issues right away and gave well thought-out, articulated suggestions for “fixing” my hair. Gary is a true professional whose knowledge of hair texture and color techniques is unsurpassed. I keep coming back to Gary because my hair has undergone a complete transformation: beautiful color, long hair and the condition of my hair is great. I am frequently complimented on my hair and am often asked where I go to get my hair styled. In addition to liking Gary as a stylist, his personality is great. It feels more like visiting a friend than an appointment. I love it when at the end of my visit he exclaims “back to your natural blonde.”

So where do I start about Gary Harlan and ncolor salon? First, a brief history:
While living in Southern California many years ago, I had the experience of having the most wonderful hairdresser - Alan Edwards. His salons in the San Fernando Valley AND Beverly Hills were star-studded...and with good reason -- Alan was a fabulous hairdresser and his staff treated every client....movie star or not...like royalty. And then, sadly, we moved away.
After living in all four corners of the U.S., I had nearly given up trying to find a hairdresser and salon that would even come close to the star quality I had been used to in Beverly Hills. Our last home before coming to Naples was in downtown Boston -- a truly wonderful city in which to live....but not a decent hairdresser that I could find anywhere in town!! And after moving to Naples, I started the search again. Having been to 3 different salons in town (or was it 4?) and coming off of one of THE most horrible haircuts I have EVER had, I asked a friend whose hair looked particularly gorgeous one day where she had her hair done....and it was Gary at ncolor salon. FINALLY, after all those years, I found the first class hair salon with “star” quality I had been missing!!
From the very first meeting I had with Gary....at a consultation....until now, I have experienced quality and service that is nothing but the best in every way. Gary has taken me down the long and harrowing path of growing out my hair....and DRASTICALLY adjusting the color (thankfully)....without the normal frustration and anguish. Now, granted, I have been more than the usual “high maintenance” client at times -- partly, if not mostly, because I have zero talent and even less patience when working with my hair. Gary has morphed himself from my “shrink” to my friend to my support throughout the entire process. And through it all, he did it with such good humor and EXTREME longsuffering.
Since my first appointment with Gary and the staff at ncolor salon, I have received nothing but rave reviews about my hair. It has never looked so good or been so healthy -- ever. And I have told everyone in Naples I can about ncolor salon. In my mind, ncolor is the “only game in town.”

"I am visiting Bonita Springs and Marco Island for 5 weeks from the northeast and required a color and cut. I was given an appointment with Crystal and couldn't be happier with the cut and color she gave me.
Your staff was professional and friendly from my first phone call to make an appointment thru settling my bill at the reception desk. I am in the process of purchasing a place on Marco and next winter when I am here for 4 plus months and I plan to drive the 30 minutes to have Crystal do my hair. BRAVO to you and your entire staff."
