The Art of Hair Design
On Sunday, the stylists at ncolor spent the day furthering their education. They had the privilege of having Redken educator Donna Barnes share some of her knowledge on the art of hair design with them. “After spending so much time behind the chair, it is always a good refresher to sit down and be reminded of the basics.” Donna, along with her assistant, Summer, gave a fun refresher of cutting techniques as well as some new tips. She taught the stylists all about the ever-popular bang trend, from what type of bang is good for each face shape to different techniques to achieve different types of bangs. Then all had the opportunity to do some hands-on learning. Donna went over a very chic, disconnected bob, step-by-step, as the stylists followed along on their own mannequin heads -of course, being conscientious to use all of the proper techniques they had just learned. All-in-all, it was a good, productive Sunday at ncolor! In an industry that is ever-changing and growing, our stylists want to grow along with it. Thanks again Donna and Summer! - Shannon (colorist/stylist at ncolor)
